Carmela Delgado bandoneon
At 27, Carmela Delgado multiplies projects, meetings and musical trips. Soloist and chamber musician, she specializes in and explores registers as diverse as Tango, Argentinian Folklore, Flamenco or even French song.
She performs as a soloist in renowned venues (the Strasbourg Opera, la filature de Mulhouse, the Rennes Opera …) in repertoires such as Maria de Buenos Aires (Piazzolla) produced by the Opéra national du Rhin, la Misatango (Martin Palmeri) with many choirs in France and Germany, “Y Borges cuenta que…” (Bacalov)… She is invited by many ensembles to perform, among which the orchestra of Brittany, 2E2M, L ‘ Lutetia orchestra …
As chamber musician, at the age of 19 she co-founded the Cuarteto Lunares. exclusively intended to promote the main composers of nowadays tango. Their first album “A horas trucas” recorded in Holland under the label “Silvox” earned them an invitation to the prestigious program “Génération jeunes interprètes” on France Musique as well as several tours and concerts in Argentina, the Netherlands and in numerous festivals in France.
She entered the professional world in 2011 with the great Orchestra of Juan José Mosalini with whom she toured the most beautiful concert halls in Europe (Elbphilarmonie, Konserthaus in Vienna and Berlin, Greek Theater in Barcelona, Tonhalle in Düsseldorf. .). That same year, she joined the Orquesta Silbando, which featured traditional tango. After three albums and more than a hundred concerts, Silbando is today recognized as one of the essential typical orchestras of the European scene.
She is solicited by various projects which lead her to explore several musical styles: Canailles de Panam, a group based in Germany draws its repertoire from the great figures of French song, and tours between France, Germany and China; she founded with Aurélie Gallois and Juan-Cruz Suárez the Argentinian folklore group “Escamas de Plata de Oro”; his father, flamenco guitarist Manuel Delgado, invites her to record in his albums “Soleado” and “Bella mar” and to accompany him in his numerous concerts in France and abroad.
